Why our health is important.

Being in good health is important for every aspect of our lives, if your health fails it can over shadow everything.

Physical health, is not just about exercise, but about adopting healthy habits. Even small changes will  improve your overall health and can reduce your risk of diseases such heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some cancers.

Eating well, being active and giving up smoking are the top 3 things that you can do to stay healthy and reduce your risk of illness.

If you are living with a health condition, it can be more challenging to make changes to your lifestyle. Have a chat with your GP or health professional, who will be able to give you advice on the changes you can make that are suitable for your condition or treatment.

The NHS Live Well resource provides advice, information and tips to help you make healthier choices.
